Fabulous food, fabulous service

I think it is really difficult to find a place to eat that serves great, homemade fresh food. I've eaten at lots of different places where the meals have been good, but I am always looking for the 'wow' factor and I think I've found it.

Nestled in the basement of the Shambles in the small makert town of Settle, North Yorkshire is Gusto's Italian restaurant.  If you want great food and somewhere romantic to take your other half for a meal, and have fantastic service, you should  go to there. So, what makes Gusto's special? Not only is it a place of character, with it's arched stone ceiling, and the kitchen area in view, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and serve all their customers with a sense of pride and a great sense of humour.

Joanne and Steve, ISpice, Hebden Bridge - February 2010

"Coming from teaching into starting our own small  food business, my husband and I soon realised that we wanted to expand and we needed bigger premises.  Still very new to the world of business as we are, Alan has been a friendly, knowledgeable, supportive  and straight-forward mentor in our deliberations. Accessible by phone, email and personal visit, Alan has been a good listener, thorough in researching before advising, and good at explaining things to novices.  He has helped and guided us through a process which would certainly have taken us a lot longer on our own, and possibly would have ended with us getting into a mess through our lack of experience.  He has certainly saved us ££££s. Thank you Alan.

How we'd describe Alan in s few words – thorough, straight forward, good listener, clear explainer, friendly, knowledgeable."
